2022 Preparedness - Part 2: Week 30

Week 30 - Aug. 1st

Think holiday gifts. School items are the least expensive they will be all year. Which of these items can you purchase now as gifts? Consider a few:

Lunch boxes and bags: Do you have a friend how travels often? Purchase a fun lunch bag that can be carried thru TSA or is perfect for snacks while commuting. Fabric lunch boxes are perfect to store Barbie clothes. They are perfect or organizing small items for in the car when traveling with kids, add colored pencils, small note pads, pencil sharpener, crayons, all on sale now, most for less than a dollar.

Is there a budding artist on your list? Purchase graph paper, colored pencils, pencil sharpener, colored chalk, ruler, all for less than $6.00 for the total gift and also great stocking stuffers.

Backpacks. Know someone who should be preparing? Purchase a backpack and gift with a list of items to add for a Five Day, Auto or Office kit. Get the kit started with a Mylar blanket and 2 glow sticks, total cost for addons, $2.00. Backpacks make the best diaper bags, wear it and hands are free, dark color and dad won’t feel awkward carrying it.

Binders. Purchase a binder, add an eBook you have printed and create an emergency binder. Purchase sheet protectors to add to a binder for: an artist to protect creations, a place to gather important documents (include a list of important documents), gather favorite recipes from family and friends for a new bride or college student.

In addition to back to school it is also end of summer sale time. If you purchase a family gift for your own family or another family, why not a fire pit and ingredients to make s’mores. Even during the winter an outdoor fire and roasting hot dogs is really fun. I purchased one for $25. Family gifts are fun and yard games will be on sale now.
